What if solving climate change makes life better?
From cutting-edge tech innovation to effective policy implementation, Supercool climate solutions are spreading to towns and cities across the globe.
But these climate initiatives do more than cut carbon. They improve our lives, save us money, and strengthen our communities. Each week, Josh Dorfman pinpoints the stories and data behind civilization’s dynamic response to climate change.
Josh speaks with business and government leaders raising student test scores in green-built schools, reducing crime in tree-lined inner cities, revitalizing downtown shopping districts at the speed of bike lanes, and engineering novel ways of turning heat waste into energy – all in the name of confronting humanity’s greatest challenge.
The low-carbon future is underway, just under-reported. Until now.

Welcome to Supercool
I was having beers with a neighbor recently. As we chatted about our town and families, I casually asked whether he was concerned about the future. He considered for a moment, then replied, "I am. I have a lot of concerns, actually, especially on the offensive...
HI, I’M JOSH DORFMAN
![Josh Dorfman Climate Media Entrepreneur](https://getsuper.cool/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Josh_Dorfman_Climate_Media_Entrepreneur.jpg)
As a climate entrepreneur, I’ve built sustainable businesses in media, manufacturing, and consumer products. Recently, I was co-founder & CEO of Plantd, a carbon-negative materials startup named to Fast Company’s 2024 List of The World’s Most Innovative Companies.
I’ve also been known previously as “The Lazy Environmentalist,” a media brand I created to help environmental schleps like me discover convenient and cost-effective ways to live sustainably.
After soundproofing my bedroom closet in Brooklyn, I steadily grew that conversation into a daily radio show on SiriusXM, an award-winning primetime television show on Sundance Channel, two books, and a long-running gig as Brita’s national spokesperson, which helped me and hopefully others kick our disposable plastic water bottles habits.
We created Supercool because we know our civilization has the tools to solve climate change in ways that help humanity flourish. The proof is in the data and the shared experience of people and communities globally who are already benefiting.
Importantly, not all climate solutions are created equal. Some are unrealistic. Others are uninspired. Yet, in the hands of forward-looking entrepreneurs, engineers, policymakers, and everyday professionals, the low-carbon economy delivers.
We’re excited to share it with you.
