Josh Dorfman, Co-founder, CEO & Host

Josh Dorfman is a climate entrepreneur, author, and media personality. As CEO and host of Supercool, Josh hosts the company’s weekly podcast spotlighting real-world climate solutions that cut carbon, boost the bottom line, and improve modern life.

Previously, Josh co-founded and was CEO of Plantd, a carbon-negative building materials manufacturer named to Fast Company’s 2024 list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies. Josh has founded two modern design sustainable furniture startups, launched and led Vine.com, an Amazon business for natural and organic products, and served as CEO of The Collider, the nation’s first innovation center for climate resilience and adaptation.

Earlier in his career, Josh was executive producer and host of The Lazy Environmentalist, an award-winning media brand he developed into a Sundance Channel television series, a daily SiriusXM radio show, and two books. Josh holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.

1.  Josh once lived in his environmentally friendly furniture showroom in Brooklyn for four years. Affording an NYC apartment and a retail space was urealistic, so he combined them. Everything went great until somebody purchased his bed.

2.  Josh is the only guest to ever ride a bicycle onto The Martha Stewart Show, which, to his zero-carbon mind, is the pinnacle of having arrived.

3.  Seeing a billion Chinese people riding bicycles in 1995, Josh opened a sales office in Nanjing for Kryptonite Bike Locks. It took two years, buy eventually he learned that people don’t buy locks that cost more than their bikes. Plus, everyone wanted a car. That’s when he became an environmentalist and figured business school was a good idea.

 

Aron Kressner, Co-founder & COO

Aron is an experienced media and marketing professional, having worked with brands like Chase, Google, IBM, Today Show, Forbes, and Vox Media. Most recently he created and produced the Hermes award-winning “Healthy Conversations” podcast for CVS Health.

1.  He is a recovering cyclist, having once pedaled from New York, up the east coast to Maine, across the U.S. (technically, he hit the west coast in Vancouver) and then down to Los Angeles before making his way to Denver. He is proud to say, some 15 years later, he barely rides to this day.

2.  Aron loves music, particularly live music. He even met his wife at a concert – they have a growing record collection. 

3.  He believes climate change is far more interesting than artificial intelligence, though the media seems to favor the latter. He wants to help with that and believes he can.
